Application Process & Interviews at Mirvac

The process was difficult, though most internships or graduate roles are. I feel that Mirvac treated us all well. I completed an online application with my CV and cover letter, a few weeks later I was called for a phone interview. Shortly afterwards I was invited to an assessment centre with three other candidates and the day afterwards I was awarded the role.

Group Interview, Aptitude Testing (Verbal and Numerical), One on One Interview. Followed by a Second Interview.

Online Application --> Phone Interview (via recruiter) --> Assessment Centre (Online Testing, Groupwork, 1 on 1 interview with manager from business unit)

I found the interview process to be quite thorough. Starting with a phone interview and then progressing to a half day interview process consisting on an individual interview, a group interview and a computer test.

Very straightforward and efficient process.

I was asked "why property", "what most interests you", "what experience can you bring to the role?".

Behavioural questions

Company values / Integrated Model; Personal questions about career goals and ambitions; Questions relating to the division in which you are interviewing for; Strengths / Weaknesses.

I cannot remember exact questions. However, questions along the lines of how to best engage and communicate with people, favourite subjects at uni, what I do for fun, what my strengths and weaknesses are etc...

understanding the Company's major projects and Core Values

Culture is important! Also, try to know exactly what you hope to get out of Mirvac. Not just 'marketing experience', but 'experience delivering marketing for inner city apartment projects, because of a), b) and c) Feedback I received is that this is important.

Be yourself, establish connection with interviewing manager

Spend time researching the company. Know exactly why you want to work for Mirvac and why you are determined to work in the division that is hiring. Know your future ambitions and goals.

Show good teamwork and communication skills, look at some generic HR interview questions and prepare some answers
