THE POSITION

Put your excellent communication and relationship management skills to use, and support our team to win new business and enhance our relationships with existing clients.

Our internship program will provide you with the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced, dynamic and forward-thinking executives and senior business leaders at Gallagher Bassett. You will have the chance to create and deliver projects for the team that will have a positive impact on the business, and gain an understanding of what it takes to successfully win and manage large accounts in the insurance industry. Plus, it will give you an insight into a possible career with GB after graduation.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Gain exposure to key components of the Sales and Account Management team, including client renewals and new business.
2. Be involved in client renewals, including the development of client proposals, value propositions and attending client meetings (where appropriate).
3. Take part in the sales process and the development of new business opportunities; have exposure to the tender process and be actively involved in developing presentations for live clients and prospective clients.
4. Create and deliver projects for the Sales and Account Management team that will have an impact on the new business generation and Gallagher Bassett's future revenue line.
5. Learn how to analyse performance and prepare presentations and reports, and attend Account Management meetings to understand sales drivers.

THE PERSON

We are looking for individuals who are motivated to succeed and keen to explore a possible career in the insurance industry.

If you are career-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and currently studying a Business or Commerce degree with an interest in business development and accounts management, then we'd love to hear from you.

N.B. You must be scheduled to complete your studies mid-2018 or end-2018.
