Phone interview, psychometric assessment, Face to face interview. There has also been introduced a more targeted recruitment process including a work sample exercise including a presentation.

Online Application Phone Interview Online Testing 2x Face-to-Face Interviews -The process is rigorous and time consuming but on the whole pays off to attract the right candidates.

Very thorough and rigorous. There were many steps, and the whole process took some time to complete.

The hiring process took longer than expected. I had a phone interview, after waiting I was then invited to a formal interview with the Senior Brand Manager and Marketing Manager. After the formal interview I was chosen for a second interview with the National Sales Manager and Senior Brand Manager. After the second interview I had to complete a Chandler Macleod assessment. After this time, it had been a few months and I was offered another position, I had to make clear to DuluxGroup that I needed to know if I had the position or not as this was a very long process. They then organized for me to have a final interview with the General Manager which followed with me immediately heading to take a drug test to speed up the process. I think if it wasn't for me mentioning my other job offer this could have dragged on even longer.

Phone Interview, face to face with your line manager and one other, a psychometrics test and drug test then a second interview with your line manager and their manager, then reference checks. Very thorough and professional process, can be a bit intimidating as a graduate.

Why do you want to work for DuluxGroup? Why did you choose Engineering? Tell us about a time you overcame challenging circumstance and got a good result.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Mostly questions that allow you to demonstrate you already have some knowledge of the company, and why you want to work here. Also, questions require you to respond with examples from previous experience, where you've demonstrated positive behavior (e.g. initiative, perseverance etc.).

A very broad range of questions. Communication, stakeholder management, time management and project management questions. Also marketing related questions.

Phone interview was mostly a recap of the resume, talking about experience, how you manage your time, responsibilities in your current role. In the first face to face interview they asked behavioural style questions "Tell me about a time when..." then expected an answer in the format of "situation, what you did, what was the result". This first face to face interview went for close to two hours. The second face to face was basically just a formality and a meet and greet with a more senior manager for them to vet you. This went for about twenty minutes to half an hour.

Be yourself, talk to your strengths, come prepared with good examples of past project work and social dilemmas you overcame.

Prepare by knowing why you really want the job. Why you are passionate about your chosen field and cover all key background about the company including its locations, history and businesses (to show you have done your homework and demonstrate genuine interest).

Do some background research on the company. Know it's brand's, values, financials, and current focus (e.g. financial result from last year, new paint factory being built etc.). Also be prepared with examples of situations where have demonstrated the company's values in previous work or study.

I would research online the most common questions that are likely to arise for your job title. I would take the time to understand the values and behaviours required for DuluxGroup and make sure you are a good fit. I would also come prepared with questions to ask the interviewer.

Come in showing exactly how prepared you are, have examples of work you've done (I displayed a video, ppt etc. all on an iPad so that I could show them examples of my work), do research the company and check out the people who are interviewing you on LinkedIn, the more you can show you've looked into the company, the position and your line manager the more serious and prepared you look.
