The initial stage of the recruitment process was a phone interview with a member of the recruitment team. This was followed by a first interview with the Head of Acquisitions and a Business Partner. I was then asked to complete a psychometric assessment. Once completed I was sent a PowerPoint presentation that I was to present at my second interview. The second interview was with the Director of Human Resources and the Head of Acquisition. Finally I completed a pre-employment medical as the final stage of the process.

I was initially invited to a one on one interview with the talent and acquisition manager. I was then invited to a panel interview with the HR director, HR business partner and talent & acquisition manager. The panel interview included a quick presentation.

The interview process involved 3 stages. First was the initial phone conversation where a relationship was established as well as both parties backgrounds and expectations. Second was a face-to-face interview where further questions and program outlines were established. Third and last consisted of a presentation between yourself as well as a member of the Senior Management Team. From there a decision was made regarding whether you were successful or not.

For myself, the interview process to obtain my role at DHL was intense. Initially, after the graduate open day, I had an interview with 2 members of HR. Following that process, I was to undertake an online test. Finally I was asked to present an 8 minute presentation to a 2 members of HR and also an Vice President of the company, followed by an interview with the same panel.

Firstly I submitted my online application, followed by a brief phone interview, Face to face interview with HR manager, Face to face interview with finance team senior, Face to face interview with 2 finance managers and also completed an online personality test.
