DO WORK THAT MATTERS
Risk Management at CommBank is the most advanced risk function in Australia. We partner with our internal clients to develop and deploy risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite. Through our analytical capabilities we provide insights and guidance into identifying, assessing and reporting risks to achieve optimal return outcomes for the Group. Our team is energised about what we do, what we've achieved and the momentum behind where we're headed, and we want you to join us on our journey!
SEE YOURSELF IN OUR GRADUATE PROGRAM:
The specific Portfolio & Market Risk Management (PMRM) stream on the Risk graduate program is an exciting opportunity to launch your career as a quantitative risk professional. You will gain broad experience during three rotations within the team in developing credit and market risk models and performing advanced analytics to provide key risk and business insights across the Group. By the end of the program you will have gained a solid foundation in risk modelling, and first-hand experience in developing advanced risk models in collaboration with business stakeholders.
WE INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE
You will receive extensive training and development and work alongside a friendly, supportive and diverse group of people. To set you up for success, you will be supported by a buddy and mentor to ensure a seamless transition into the Group.

Great work-life balance, surrounded by brilliant people
It is a very big organisation and there are many opportunities outside your business area. There are secondment roles opportunities which give you a chance to try a role outside your speciality. The Graduate Program has provided excellent conferences all throughout the year which are very valuable for our professional development.
Great workplace culture with lots of career development. People are friendly and willing to help.
Flexible working arrangements Ability to move around to different teams Different initiatives that run in the bank, that you're able to join The number of networks you're able to make
A great place to work - there is flexible work culture, we are strongly focused on helping our community, plus the pay is good too :)
Fairly strict graduate rotation policy, not full freedom of where we can rotate
Large company so at times it can be very difficult to get what you need quickly and hard to deliver projects unless you know the right people.
Red tape, things can sometimes move slowly Lots of meetings, some unnecessary
Remuneration compared to the market.
The legacy tech that slows down development can sometimes be frustrating/require workarounds.
