Salary at AECOM

I believe I am paid fairly for the hours that I claim and I am encouraged to claim all of the hours that I work. I believe that people who work hard and perform well are rewarded for it. New bonus schemes have been introduced lately but I have not yet been involved.

Happy with the starting salary

The pay increases are generous. I received a pay increase when I was on parental leave for 14 months, which I was happy with.

The salary is very fair for graduates. Overtime and living away from home allowances are terrific.

Pay rises can be based on time progression rather than performance sometimes.

Really great, am on a much higher salary than I had anticipated as a graduate.

Not very competitive with the market, all though it is suggested that they are.

Pay is good, but engineering in general is not as high as I expected. Pay isn't the main factor when you are a grad anyway, it's nice but you should be focusing on learning as much as you can.

The initial pay is slightly above market average, however pay progression appears to be much slower than the market.

They encourage good work through smaller bonuses through the year, and really ensure they're remuneration is competitive with the industry.

Pay is reasonable. Decision to stay at AECOM the length of time I have has been driven by factors other than remuneration.

Pay is pretty standard for graduates. Bonuses don't tend to happen.

Graduate pay is good, probably above average for the industry. Professional level pay is below average, and the process by which annual pay increases are decided seems unclear and inconsistent. There is a perception that politics matters more than performance. There is a perception that the company is unwilling to increase pay even when the external market is doing well.

I think that the pay is close to industry standard

Pay is good, did not get a pay rise at the usual time as I was not recruited in the normal graduate cycle which means I will be working for 17months before I get my first pay rise and performance appraisal.

Ability to 'purchase' 2 additional weeks annual leave and pay back the value of those 2 weeks pre-tax over any number of months of work (within 12 months). Great coffee machines and snacks (biscuits, muesli bars, fruit) available on each level. Fairly frequent work organised events such as Friday night drinks (where drinks/food are free).

On one difficult project our supervisor took us out for a lunch afterwards to celebrate our hard work. It was very nice. I once got sick at the office and the office sent a safety officer home to Wollongong with me in a taxi.

I received moving allowance when I first started. Also you regularly get work/hire cars to drive during the week. Living away from home allowance when working away are reasonable.

Per diems for any travel, free fortnightly partner flights when I was working interstate for 6 months, overtime

subsidies on gym, massages etc.
